Despite all the forecasts of thunder, lightning and torrential rain, the weather was kind to us and we got away with sunny intervals and just a spit of rain immediately before the final.
Everyone seemed to have a great time and all the matches were played in a good 'end of term' spirit. It was gratifying that quite a number of people stayed to watch the final.
Very nice, too, to see several past and retired members who turned up to support the event.
As appears to have now become the custom, the final was played on Rink 1 (across), thus giving the spectators in the gallery a great view of the (excellent) action and allowing them to hear, and take part in, the good-natured banter much in evidence!
