About Us |
We are an active and lively club, with members of all ages, representing a cross-section of Lenham’s community as well as having members who live further afield. We do of course like to encourage ‘playing members’ but happily accept membership for non-players. All members may enjoy our clubhouse facilities – an oasis in the village - with licensed bar and social activities. We play friendly matches (both home and away) against other Kent clubs on most weekends during the season (see the fixtures pages) and we have a number of Club bowling days. The men’s section also have two teams in the Maidstone Triples League.

If you think you might be interested in joining us, please phone our Club Secretary, Linda Southby (01622 677192), and she will be delighted to send you further information and arrange a visit. Alternatively, just pop in on a Friday night or at the weekend and introduce yourself and you will be made most welcome. If you are beginner considering joining the club but perhaps put off because the equipment might be expensive and you are unsure quite |

how to play, don’t hold back. We have three or four sets of bowls for general use, and a few pairs of flat soled shoes so you can come and give it a try. There are always members on hand to show you the ropes.

In the Clubhouse |
If you decide it’s just what you were looking for – nice people, lovely surroundings, useful exercise and a bit of social life - your initial outlay will not be great and you probably have some items in your wardrobe already. Grey and white trousers/skirt and a white shirt/blouse. Flat soled shoes are essential, both to preserve the turf and prevent our hard-working grounds staff from tearing their hair out! |
After the summer outdoor season has finished we also have facilities for indoor Short Mat Bowls |
